The Vernilac Veradur Stain & Alkali Block primer is white, water-soluble, and designed to cover and block stains caused by smoke, nicotine, mould, coffee, juices, water-based markers, and other contaminants. Its dual composition prevents water-soluble contaminants from bleeding through to the topcoat and balances the absorbency of surfaces while allowing them to remain highly breathable.
It can be applied to interior and exterior walls. Its special acrylic resins provide resistance to the high alkalinity of surfaces such as fresh concrete, new plaster, and skim-coated walls. It can also be used as an intermediate coat when changing from dark to light shades, reducing the number of additional topcoats needed. It contains no ammonia and is almost odourless.
