The main production areas are Southern France and Southern Italy. The essential oil of Bergamot is obtained from the cold pressing of the raw peel of the fruit and has a yellowish to brownish-green color with a pleasant and fresh aroma, characterized by sweet, lemony, and refreshing notes.
