The essential oil of oregano is obtained from steam distillation of the leaves of this particular plant. It has a strong characteristic aroma and is often referred to as oregano oil. Oregano essential oil contains the substances carvacrol (85%) and thymol (2.89%) which give it antimicrobial properties.

Organic Oregano essential oil is mainly used in aromatherapy to combat:

• respiratory issues such as asthma, bronchitis, and cough
• diabetes (2-3 drops of the essential oil in a drink made from wormwood, sleep herb, wilga, hibiscus, stevia, ginger, etc., or even in water)
