The Orno OR-DC-628 standalone smoke detector uses a photoelectric sensor to detect visible smoke, even in the early stages of a smouldering fire. It provides visual and audible alerts, while the TEST button checks its operation and the HUSH button silences the alarm. A low battery and the end of the sensor’s service life are indicated by an audible signal.
The detector is powered by a 9 V DC battery, included in the package, and the sensor has a service life of 10 years. It is BSI certified and complies with the EN 14604:2005/AC1:2008 standard.
