Herbstore pine essential oil is derived from the needles and small branches of the Swiss stone pine (Pinus cembra) and is produced by steam distillation. It has a fresh, resinous aroma with slightly bitter notes and a camphoraceous character. It is organic and edible.

The oil dissolves in ethanol, vegetable oils, and other essential oils, but is almost insoluble in water. It is used in aromatherapy and in products such as soaps, deodorants, skin oils, and massage oils. It blends well with eucalyptus, St. John’s wort, orange, lemon, oregano, bay laurel, citronella, sage, cypress, rosemary, Tea Tree, and mint.
