Mistletoe (Viscum album), also known as mistletoe or guff, is an evergreen parasite of trees, mainly firs, but also chestnuts. The plant produces a white spherical fruit from which a sticky substance is extracted. They are plants that prefer cold or cool places. They can grow even in shady or semi-shady locations, as well as in moist, well-draining, fertile soils.
In ancient times, it was considered a medicinal herb, and to this day it is used to address issues in the circulatory and respiratory systems.
