QuickStart automatically detects your cookware, ReStart saves your settings, and the timer turns off the hob when cooking is finished.

✔ In addition, induction technology saves energy and the independent operation gives you the freedom to place it wherever suits you.

✔ And of course, there is a safety lock for complete peace of mind at home.

The kitchen in your own hands

Do you want absolute control when you cook? With the TouchSelect control you easily adjust the cooking zone you want. Choose the power level and… voilà! And if you want to make your life even simpler, the QuickStart and ReStart functions are there for you.

Cook in fast forward!

Feeling extremely hungry? PowerBoost makes things easy for you! It offers up to 35% faster heating compared to the highest power level. Perfect for boiling large amounts of water or heating food in no time.

QuickStart: Lightning-fast cooking

Did you place the cookware? The hob detects it automatically and selects the correct zone on its own! You just choose the power level and start without any delay.

Your settings, saved

Did your food boil over a little? Don't worry! The hobs switch off automatically but keep your last settings. With the press of a button, you can continue right where you left off.

Safety for little hands

You don't need to keep an eye on it all the time. With the safety lock, the hob does not turn on accidentally, so you can feel confident and safe for the whole family.

Fast Cooking & Energy Saving

Thanks to induction technology, heat is generated directly in the cookware. This means faster boiling (2 liters of water in half the time compared to a ceramic hob!) and lower energy consumption. More time for you, lower expenses!

Combine it as you wish – Bosch or not!

Do you want to complete your kitchen set? No problem! You can combine the induction hob Bosch with a Bosch oven for a perfect match or choose any other brand you like. The hob is autonomous, so you have freedom of choice and you can create your own ideal combination.

Dimensions & power of cooking zones

  • 1 x 14.5 cm Ø, 1.4 (2.2) kW

After considerable research, I decided on this particular Bosch induction hob. My previous hob was ceramic (from another brand) and I do not regret that the new one is induction. I chose Bosch because they generally have a low repair rate (i.e., few malfunctions) and make minimal noise during use. This particular model has a powerful booster and a metal frame for protection. Generally, induction hobs respond instantly to temperature adjustments. More specifically, this induction hob:
    - The noise during operation is minimal and varies depending on the cookware I use. It depends on the quality of the material at the bottom of the cookware... My extractor hood makes more noise...
    - What I considered important is that the induction hob has a metal frame. The installation on my countertop is not flush with the counter... the hob is supported around the perimeter, which means it sticks out a bit above the counter... So it needs to be protected from possible knocks with pots... keep in mind that a replacement glass for hobs costs at least 200-250€...
    - It has a powerful booster to heat the cookware quickly... in general, check that the booster is strong... check how many KW it has...
    - It responds instantly to temperature adjustments... the cookware heats up immediately when I turn on the zone, and boiling stops immediately when I turn it off... as with any induction hob.
    - This particular hob does not have a bridge function to combine 2 zones into one large one, but that's not something I've ever needed in my life... so I didn't want to pay for something I don't need.
    - Also, it does not have automatic zone adaptation to the size of the cookware base (which I would have liked), but it's not a problem, it still cooks perfectly even with a slightly larger pot.

    Regarding scratches on induction hobs:
We avoid dragging pots on the surface of the induction hob... we lift/place the pots vertically... no dragging...
Cleaning with liquid dish soap, only with the soft side of the kitchen sponge and gently, and wiping only with microfiber cloths... and of course, we use the special cleaning scraper to clean the glass from any residues...

In general, when you decide to buy induction hobs, evaluate and pay for the features that are important to you (country of manufacture, metal frame, bridge function, automatic pan size recognition, booster power, etc.)... and of course, make sure it fits your countertop (if it's a replacement)...

  • Owner of this particular hob for two months, my impressions so far are very good, now I think that induction hobs are the best in terms of electricity economy. Much more efficient than a ceramic one. Time will tell for its durability.
