The Mustometer, also known as the Academy Mustometer, directly shows the percentage of sugar in kilograms, that is, the kilograms of sugar contained in 100 kilograms of must according to its density. This instrument can determine the sugar content of grapes and their degree of ripeness.

  • Measurement of true Brix degrees
  • Specific gravity
  • Grape sugars %
  • Alcohol %
  • The mustometer is calibrated at 20°C and does not have a thermometer.
  • Dimensions: 30cm

It can also predict the result of winemaking by approximately calculating the alcohol content that will be obtained from these grapes.

It measures:

  • True Brix degrees: 0-21
  • Specific gravity: 0.80-1.170
  • Grape sugars %: 0-42
