Positives:
1) Very high-quality construction, you can see the difference compared to toasters priced at €15-30. It is sturdy with good materials.
2) Four seemingly quality plates that cover all needs.
3) Heats up quite quickly (not very quickly but better than the cheaper ones).
4) Can stand upright for convenience, taking up less space.
5) Very good cooking overall, both for toasts and waffles.
Negatives:
1) The main problem I face is with the plate for triangular toasts. Unfortunately, the toasts stick to the upper plate at the point where they are divided in half. So when opening the toaster, the toasts rise together and hang, and if the two slices of bread haven't stuck together (which they don't, see point 2), the ingredients spill out! I have tried butter, but it doesn't change anything.
2) The size for triangular toasts is something in between classic bread and large club sandwich bread. Thus, the classic toasts are not pressed all around and their edges do not stick. It doesn't make those "puffed" triangular toasts; it simply cuts the toast in half. It doesn't press the large ones enough either since there is a large gap between the two plates.
3) I would like it to have an on/off switch.
I give it 4 stars mainly for its quality and the many options in the plates, with a reservation for possibly increasing if the sticking issue gets resolved or decreasing if it continues or worsens!
Θετικά:
1) Πολύ ποιοτική κατασκευή, φαίνεται η διαφορά της με τις τοστιέρες των 15-30€. Είναι στιβαρή με καλά υλικά.
2) Τέσσερις φαινομενικά ποιοτικές πλάκες που καλύπτουν όλες τις ανάγκες.
3) Ζεσταίνεται αρκετά γρήγορα (όχι πολύ γρήγορα αλλά καλύτερα από τις πιο φθηνές).
4) Στέκεται και όρθια για βόλεμα πιάνοντας μικρότερο χώρο.
5) Πολύ καλό το ψήσιμο της γενικά και στα τοστ αλλά και στις βάφλες.
Αρνητικά:
1) Το βασικότερο πρόβλημα που αντιμετωπίζω είναι στην πλάκα με τα τρίγωνα τοστ. Δυστυχώς κολλάνε τα τοστ στην πάνω πλάκα στο σημείο που τα χωρίζει στη μέση. Έτσι ανοίγοντας την τοστιέρα σηκώνονται μαζί και τα τοστ και κρέμονται, και αν δεν έχουν κολλήσει τα δύο ψωμάκια μεταξύ τους (που δεν κολλάνε, βλ.2) χύνονται έξω τα υλικά! Έχω δοκιμάσει και βούτυρο αλλά δεν αλλάζει κάτι.
2) Το μέγεθος για τα τρίγωνα τοστ είναι κάτι ενδιάμεσο από τα κλασικά ψωμάκια και τα μεγάλα ψωμάκια του κλαμπ σάντουιτς. Έτσι τα κλασικά τοστάκια δεν τα πατάει γύρω γύρω και δεν κολλάνε οι άκρες τους. Δεν κάνει δηλαδή αυτά τα "φουσκωτά" τρίγωνα τοστάκια, απλά ουσιαστικά κόβει το τοστ στη μέση. Ούτε τα μεγάλα τα πατάει αρκετά αφού έχει μεγάλο κενό ανάμεσα στις δύο πλάκες.
3) Θα ήθελα να έχει διακόπτη on/off.
Βάζω 4 αστεράκια κυρίως για την ποιότητα της και τις πολλές επιλογές στις πλάκες, με επιφύλαξη για προς τα πάνω αν στρώσει το θέμα με το κόλλημα ή προς τα κάτω αν συνεχιστεί ή χειροτερέψει!
