Does God have radio operators? Yet, Elder Paisios of Mount Athos assured us that He does. It is the monks who send our messages to God through their prayers, as well as God's messages to people.

A great radio operator of God who lived in our days is Elder Joseph the Hesychast. The young Francis, later known as Elder Joseph, had nearly fulfilled his dream: to become a wealthy merchant. However, everything changed one night when he dreamt of being called to serve by a transcendent king. It was Christ!

He left everything and ran to Mount Athos where he became a monk. There he experienced celestial events. He received communion from the hand of an angel, the Virgin Mary kissed him, and even the divine Baby, Christ Himself, caressed his face!
