I do not believe there is only one path to happiness. And if there is, I do not know it. But even if I did know it, I do not think I could describe it in a book.
On a personal level, I have always wanted to be happy. However, I remember once criticizing myself for admitting this desire in a report. For me (and perhaps for the whole world), saying, "I want to be happy" is equivalent to claiming a certificate of foolishness and naivety.
Autonomy, love, pain, happiness, and spirituality are the five paths that Bukai maps out on the chart leading to human fulfillment and awareness. Five journeys that each of us must traverse through personal experiences and in our own way.
Using his familiar, enlightening, and often entertaining style, the popular Argentine psychiatrist addresses the search for happiness in this fourth "Path" and warns: "The pursuit of happiness is not merely the right of some; it is, in my opinion, a natural obligation for all."
