In the game Crabz, players represent a family of crabs that do not start stacked but will become stacked during the game, with the goal of being the top crab at the end.
Each player has nine crabs — three large, three medium, and three small — and they start from random positions in the game. In each round, exactly one of your crabs moves — the large crab moves exactly one space, the medium exactly two, and the small exactly three — so that you land on top of another crab of the same or smaller size, pressing it down and preventing it from moving as long as you are there.
You cannot move over open water, and if your move separates the group of crabs, then the smaller group is swept away by the waves.
If you cannot move during your turn, then you are eliminated from the game — even if one of your crabs becomes uncovered later. The last player to make a move wins!
