Wrist-Based Running Power

The Polar Pacer Pro automatically measures the power from every
run without external sensors.

Power gives you new insights into your running. You can use it to analyze the energy efficiency of your run. Additionally, if you monitor both your heart rate and your running power, you will be able to detect changes in your performance. For example, if you are able to produce lower power with the same HR after weeks of training, it is an indication of improved running performance.

FUELWISE

To perform at your best, you need to fuel your body with carbohydrates and stay hydrated regularly during a long race or workout. With two useful tools, the carbohydrate reminder and the hydration reminder, FuelWise helps you find the optimal way to replenish your energy.

TRAINING LOAD PRO

Training puts stress on various systems of the human body. Training Load Pro separates the load into different systems and helps users understand the overall training load (a unique approach) and optimize their training.

Nightly Recharge

Nightly Recharge is an automatic overnight recovery measurement that tells you how well your body was able to recover from the strain caused by training and other demands of your day. It also offers you tips in the Polar Flow app on how to train, sleep better, and manage your energy levels throughout the day. The information we get through Nightly Recharge is used as data for today's recommended exercises in the daily training guide FitSpark™.

Sleep Plus Stages

  • Sleep Plus Stages provides information about the quantity and quality of your sleep based on automatic measurement.
  • It measures multiple sleep parameters that reflect your sleep quality. These parameters, together with sleep duration, are summarized in a Sleep Score.
  • The Sleep Score shows you how well you slept compared to the benchmarks of good sleep based on current developments in sleep science.
  • Different elements of the Sleep Score are also compared to your usual level, which helps you learn how your daily choices and lifestyle habits affect your sleep.
  • Sleep Plus Stages displays detailed information about how your sleep progressed through wakefulness and the different sleep stages: Light sleep, Deep sleep, and REM sleep.

TEST HUB

The new convenient place to analyze all your test data is the Polar Flow web service. You can view your long-term progress and easily compare various parameters that reflect your body's behavior and changes in your performance.

After 3 months of use, the time has come for me to make my evaluation.
Positives: The measurements for heart rate are very good, as I have compared them with a belt from the same company. The measurements for distances, etc. are equally reliable. The screen is bright both in the morning and at night. The battery lasts about 4 days.
Negatives: The sleep measurements are random. They are not based on reality. For example, it shows more sleep time than normal or when I break my sleep into 2 or 3 parts during the night, it doesn't show any measurement at all. The application is mediocre to incomprehensible. To generate a program for you, it requires you to wear it for at least 20 days for a few hours each day. After 3 months, it tells you the same thing. When you do 2 different workouts in a day, it cannot understand that you have done 2 workouts, resulting in it telling you that you worked out a little today. When you do 2 running workouts, it cannot add up the kilometers you have done in the daily activity. The watch does not have maps, and you have to upload a route yourself that you want to take. However, during the exercise, it constantly sends messages that you have taken the wrong route.
