A relay is an electrically operated switch that features a control system (also known as an input circuit) and the controlled system (also known as an output circuit), typically used in automatic control circuits. It uses a small electric current to control a larger current.

Relays are used where it is necessary to control a circuit via a low-power signal (with complete electrical isolation between the control and controlled circuits), or where multiple circuits need to be controlled via a single signal.

The 16A relay can be used in interactive projects. It can also be used for controlling lighting, electrical, and other devices. It can be controlled via a digital IO port, such as electromagnetic valves, lamps, motors, and other high-current or high-voltage devices.

The main difference between the 16A relay and the older version is the maximum current cutoff capability. The maximum cutoff ability has been upgraded from 10A to 16A.

Warning: Do not attempt to use this model without guidance. Voltages above 36V may pose a risk to the body.
