Description

As it emerges from the overview of the First Book of the Civil Code, the "General Principles" can be distinguished into three sections: the "Introduction", which includes regulations on the sources of law, the right and the basic rules of Private International Law, the "Law of Persons", which includes regulations for natural persons), for legal entities in general and for the so-called legal entities of Civil Law, and the "General Principles" themselves, which include regulations for legal proceedings, appeals, representation, prescription, etc.

The classification of the subject matter in the First Book of the Civil Code is followed in this work as well. The references to the bibliography and case law are carefully selected and sufficient for the complete information of the reader. In order to better understand the most critical issues and their historical evolution, older bibliography and case law are particularly exploited, which contributed to the formation of our Civil Law according to the Code and whose positions are followed in many issues by more recent bibliography and case law. With the alphabetical index and the detailed table of contents, the book becomes more user-friendly and practical.

The aim of this work is the critical presentation of the findings of the theoretical research and case law so far, which will satisfy the needs of the theoretical researcher, the practical interpreter, and the student.
