The Uni-T UT256A clamp meter measures AC current up to 200 A and uses True RMS technology. Place the wire inside the open clamp to take a measurement. The NCV function detects voltage without contact. It also measures AC/DC voltage up to 1000 V, resistance up to 60 MΩ, and frequency from 10 Hz to 10 kHz.

The digital display has a maximum reading of 6000 and measures 35 × 26 mm. The clamp meter features autoranging, Data Hold, continuity testing with an audible alert, an LCD backlight, automatic power-off, and a low-battery indicator. It is powered by 2 LR6 1.5 V batteries.
