While You Were Sleeping…
With her brother Thomas missing in the colonies, orphan Cecilia Harcourt has two unbearable choices: to move in with her mother’s aunt or to marry her cunning cousin. She decides to follow a third option and embarks on a transatlantic rescue journey.
But after a week of searching, instead of finding her brother, she discovers his best friend, Edward Roxby. He is badly injured, and Cecilia vows to save his life, but to do so, she will need to tell a little white lie… I told everyone that I was your wife…
When Edward finally regains consciousness, he realizes that the blow to his head has caused him temporary amnesia. The last six months have been erased from his memory, but if he had truly married, wouldn’t he remember? He knows very well who Cecilia Harcourt is, even though he cannot recall her face. Since everyone calls her “his wife,” he decides that this must logically be the truth. If only it were true…
Cecilia risks her entire future by giving herself entirely to the man she loves. But when the truth is revealed, Edward may harbor some surprises for the new Mrs. Roxby...
