Truly excellent docking station for DELL laptop. So far its use has been trouble-free and the laptop works just as it did with its own power cable. I have connected ethernet, 2 external monitors (one of them even through a third Baseus USB-C Docking Station since the Dell docking station has one HDMI port, the others are DP), plus an external usb-c enclosure for two hard drives. In this way, I keep the laptop completely free from externally connected devices, which makes it very easy to take it with me, since among other things, I don't need to take the laptop's power supply out of the carrying bag. The only thing it lacks is an external audio connection and unfortunately I still have to connect it to the laptop.

I now have my Dell laptop set up as primary PC with monitor and full keyboard, as well as other devices (e.g., external drives) nicely integrated via the Dell Docking station. Remove single cable from laptop, and ready to go on the road. Docking station was easy to set up and, thanks to Skroutz, delivered quickly to Skroutz box in the small Greek town my wife is from. Arguably even more convenient than if I had purchased it in Winnipeg, Canada, where we live/lived. Very pleased with the product and with the service from Skroutz. Jim.

Necessary accessory now for laptops, as the countless USB ports of all types, HDMI port (possibly also DisplayPort), and Ethernet port have been replaced (at least in premium models) with 1 to 2 Thunderbolt ports. This specific Docking Station has a very sturdy construction, medium-sized (excluding the power supply which is quite large as it provides power up to 180W), and has all the range of ports you need, Ethernet, USB type C/A, Thunderbolt, DisplayPort (possibly even more than the average user needs), HDMI. The software support of the product is excellent (since it is a DELL product). I'm not saying it's cheap, but for those who have a premium DELL laptop model (which is also not cheap), buying it is almost a one-way street, as besides the lack of ports on the laptop itself, with other Thunderbolt Docking Stations, there will be power supply issues. Here I explain how Thunderbolt Docking Stations deliver power output up to 100W (subtracting the power needed for the machine to operate). The premium series of DELL laptops require 130W power supply. So DELL has taken care, through a special communication process between the Docking Station and its laptop, to bypass this limit. If this Docking Station is used on a non-DELL laptop, but has power supply requirements, it may display a message from Windows that the power supply is insufficient, it will start consuming power from the battery, and it will reduce the performance of the machine.
