The Black Diamond Astro 300 headlamp features one LED, one switch, and a maximum brightness of 300 lm. Its settings include full power, dimmed brightness, and strobe, while brightness memory retains the selected setting when the lamp is switched off and on again.

PowerTap technology allows you to switch instantly to full power with a tap, while the digital lockout prevents accidental activation during storage. It runs on 3 AAA batteries or a BD 1500 rechargeable lithium battery, sold separately. Its housing is IPX4-rated for resistance to rain and sleet from any angle.
