Opinions are mixed, with several users reporting that the device doesn’t keep cats away, while others find it effective on setting 2. Positive points include easy installation, rechargeable batteries, and the solar panel. However, some say the sound is annoying to people and that the device can also be triggered by human movement.
I had to return it because it was not working for the cats of the neighborhood (Athens). The setting was set to 2 with max sensitivity but the cats continued to use the garden as toilet in front of it.
The batteries have been fully charged before and even tried with another set without any success.

My cats hear it and simply flick their ears. They sit calmly and do not move from their spot!
It seems to do the job, as someone else mentioned in the comments, it seems to bother the cats as they moved out of its range and stayed away. Very positive that it has rechargeable batteries and a solar panel. It is quite easy to install and not too bulky. The only negative is that it detects human movement and the sound is quite loud and annoying if you are in the same area.
Update after 3 days of testing because my yard is very large, it doesn't cover the entire area but in the range it covers, about 50-60 square meters, there are no cats at all.

Finally we got rid of the annoying cats! It is very effective with setting at 2.
