Use on our Maltese after veterinarian's suggestion, for management of chronic colitis: it took some time to take effect but the problem was reduced by 90%. We stopped it at some point and the problem returned, which was a mistake, so now we give it on a regular basis. We give it together with his food, either wet or dry, easily. Because he is small-sized, one package lasts for a long time (months).

I am giving this specific formulation after a recommendation from a dog nutritionist (along with a special diet and other supplements) for an issue with the anal glands (oversecretion) for the past month and a half. After long-term use on my dog, I can't say that I recommend it. My dog has a problem with his anal glands, which fill up very often and he is unable to empty them on his own. This specific product promises to help with this issue by making the bowel movements harder due to the fibers, but I still have to empty them every 1 to 2 months. Additionally, I have noticed that it frequently caused gas. I have stopped giving it to him for almost a month now, and the gas has already stopped, as well as the soft and smelly bowel movements.
