The device is flawless in terms of construction. You hold it and you can tell it will last, which is rare these days and that’s why I mention it. My experience so far is very positive but it would be a joke not to mention the negatives as well.
First of all, for the IPL to work, it requires consistency and for you to follow the instructions closely. Fortunately, the model comes with a manual to teach you the correct usage. Now, those crazy stories I see about people getting burns and marks, I believe are user error.
The process starts in the bathroom where you need to shave WELL in any area you’re going to treat. After the bath, your skin should have nothing on it, no product residue (scrub, moisturizers, etc.) or water, just dry and clean.
Before use, you need to do the skin test, which is explained very nicely in the app and the instructions on how to do it. The idea is that for each area, you find the intensity that doesn’t hurt and use that! So forget what you read about pain. Proper use does not hurt.
Now, to be honest, it takes time. I do almost my whole body, starting with the most sensitive areas while the Lumea is still cold and then moving on to the larger surfaces. It’s not a process of a few minutes. It requires attention, focus, patience, some acrobatics in certain areas, mirrors to see well where you’re treating, and light. I won’t say it’s a relaxing process (compared to a salon), but it is economical and effective.
After use, the device needs time to cool down, then you clean it, and then let it dry. If you do your whole body like I do, you’ll need to stop in between, take a break to let it cool for a few minutes. You’re at home, there’s no rush.
I’ll talk about the results I’ve seen. Thank goodness for the wonderful app they made! After each session, it keeps a record, asks you what intensity you used in each area, how uncomfortable you felt, what results you’ve seen so far, what you expected to see by now. It organizes the “appointments” for each area separately and you can change them if you want. You know months in advance when you need to treat, for example if you want to travel you can plan.
According to the app’s history, in all the areas where I was consistent and kept to the schedule, I’ve become like a dolphin. I’m not kidding, I might see 2-3 hairs on my whole leg once every six months. It’s my fault I wasn’t consistent everywhere, not the IPL’s.
I want to mention that if you have both blonde and dark hairs in an area, you’ll have to shave them all and treat the whole area. If you don’t want to shave, for example, your mustache because there are both dark and blonde hairs, it’s good to decide beforehand.

Αρχικά το ipl για να δουλέψει θέλει συνέπεια και να ακολουθείς πιστά της οδηγίες. Ευτυχώς το μοντέλο έρχεται με βιβλίο οδηγιών να σου μάθει την σωστή χρήση. Τώρα αυτά τα τρελά που βλέπω οτι κάηκαν και έκαναν σημάδια κλπ πιστεύω είναι user error.
Η διαδικασία ξεκινάει στο μπάνιο που θα ξυριστείς ΚΑΛΑ σε οποια περιοχη χτυπήσεις. Το δέρμα μετά το μπάνιο δεν πρέπει να έχει τίποτα, ούτε υπόλοιπα απο προϊόντα (scrub, ενυδατικες κ.α.) ούτε νερό, στεγνό και καθαρό.
Πριν την χρήση πρέπει να γίνει το skin test, τα λέει πολύ όμορφα στο app και στις οδηγίες για το πως να το κάνεις. Η λογική είναι οτι ανά περιοχή θα βρεις την ένταση που δεν πονάει και με αυτή χτυπάς! Άρα οτι γράφουν για πόνο ξεχάστε το. Η σωστή χρήση δεν πονάει.
Τώρα για να είμαι ειλικρινής, παίρνει ώρα. Κάνω σχεδόν όλο το σώμα, ξεκινάω με τις πιο ευαίσθητες περιοχές όσο είναι κρύα η lumea και μετά κάνω τις μεγάλες επιφάνειες. Δεν είναι διαδικασία μερικών λεπτών. Θέλει προσοχή, συγκέντρωση, υπομονή, ακροβατικά σε κάποιες περιοχές, καθρέφτη/ες να βλέπεις καλά όπου χτυπάς και φως. Δεν θα πω οτι είναι ξεκούραστη διαδικασία (σε σχέση με το ινστιτούτο), είναι όμως οικονομική και αποτελεσματική.
Μετά την χρήση η συσκευή θέλει χρόνο να κρυώσει και μετά να την καθαρίσεις και μετά να στεγνώσει. Εαν κάνετε όλο το σώμα όπως εγώ θα χρειαστεί να σταματήσετε ενδιάμεσα, ένα μπρεικ να κρυώσει λίγα λεπτά. Σπίτι είσαι δεν βιάζεσαι.
Θα μιλήσω για τα αποτελέσματα που είδα. Να είναι καλά το υπέροχο app που έκαναν! Μετά απο κάθε συνεδρία κρατάει ιστορικό, σε ρωτάει τι ένταση έβαλες στην περιοχή, πόσο άβολα ένιωσες, τι αποτελέσματα έχεις δει μέχρι τώρα, τι περίμενες να δεις μέχρι τώρα. Οργανώνει μόνο του τα ''ραντεβού'' για κάθε περιοχή ξεχωριστά και αν θες τα αλλάζεις. Ξες απο τώρα για μήνες μετά πότε πρέπει να χτυπήσεις, θες να πας ένα ταξίδι πχ να γνωρίζεις.
Σύμφωνα με το ιστορικό στο app σε όσες περιοχές ήμουν συνεπείς και κράτησα το πρόγραμμα που λέει έχω γίνει δελφίνι. Δεν κάνω πλάκα, μπορεί να δω 2-3 τρίχες σε ολόκληρο το πόδι μια φορά το 6μηνο. Πρόβλημα μου που δεν ήμουν παντού συνεπείς, δεν φταίει το ipl.
Θέλω να αναφέρω πως εαν σε μια περιοχή έχεις και ξανθές και μαύρες τρίχες, θα τις ξυρίσεις όλες και θα χτυπήσεις αναγκαστικά όλη την περιοχή. Αν δεν θέλετε να ξυρίσετε πχ μουστάκι γιατί ειναι μαζί μαύρες και ξανθές καλό είναι να το αποφασίσετε.

Μέχρι στιγμής είναι άψογο. Απο την πρώτη φορά οι τρίχες ενώ έβλεπα οτι ήταν κοντες και έτοιμες να βγούν, δεν έβγαιναν για κανα μήνα. Δεν πονάει ιδιαίτερα. Στο πρόσωπο έχω να πάω για Αλεξανδρίτη 2 μήνες, έχω κάνει με αυτό δύο φορές κα δεν βλέπω να υπάρχει τίποτα απο τρίχα. Η ταχύτητα του είναι αρκετά γρήγορη σε σχέση με άλλα μηχανήματα. Δηλαδή πραγματικά σε κάθε συνεδρία λέιζερ έδινα 120€ και με αυτό σε 3 μήνες το έκανα απόσβεση. Κάνω χερια ποδια και πρόσωπο και έχω να δώ τρίχα 2 μήνες.
Update σχεδον έναν χρόνο μετά. Δεν το πιστεύω οτι με έσωσε. Ενώ με το Αλεξανδρίτης χρειαζόμουν κάθε μήνα στο πρόσωπο αλλιώς είχα κανονικά τρίχες, με αυτό το έκανα 3-4 φορές και απο τότε ξεχνάω να κάνω και δεν έχω ξαναδεί τρίχες. The device is flawless in terms of construction. You hold it and you can tell it will last, which is rare these days and that’s why I mention it. My experience so far is very positive but it would be a joke not to mention the negatives as well.
First of all, for the IPL to work, it requires consistency and for you to follow the instructions closely. Fortunately, the model comes with a manual to teach you the correct usage. Now, those crazy stories I see about people getting burns and marks, I believe are user error.
The process starts in the bathroom where you need to shave WELL in any area you’re going to treat. After the bath, your skin should have nothing on it, no product residue (scrub, moisturizers, etc.) or water, just dry and clean.
Before use, you need to do the skin test, which is explained very nicely in the app and the instructions on how to do it. The idea is that for each area, you find the intensity that doesn’t hurt and use that! So forget what you read about pain. Proper use does not hurt.
Now, to be honest, it takes time. I do almost my whole body, starting with the most sensitive areas while the Lumea is still cold and then moving on to the larger surfaces. It’s not a process of a few minutes. It requires attention, focus, patience, some acrobatics in certain areas, mirrors to see well where you’re treating, and light. I won’t say it’s a relaxing process (compared to a salon), but it is economical and effective.
After use, the device needs time to cool down, then you clean it, and then let it dry. If you do your whole body like I do, you’ll need to stop in between, take a break to let it cool for a few minutes. You’re at home, there’s no rush.
I’ll talk about the results I’ve seen. Thank goodness for the wonderful app they made! After each session, it keeps a record, asks you what intensity you used in each area, how uncomfortable you felt, what results you’ve seen so far, what you expected to see by now. It organizes the “appointments” for each area separately and you can change them if you want. You know months in advance when you need to treat, for example if you want to travel you can plan.
According to the app’s history, in all the areas where I was consistent and kept to the schedule, I’ve become like a dolphin. I’m not kidding, I might see 2-3 hairs on my whole leg once every six months. It’s my fault I wasn’t consistent everywhere, not the IPL’s.
I want to mention that if you have both blonde and dark hairs in an area, you’ll have to shave them all and treat the whole area. If you don’t want to shave, for example, your mustache because there are both dark and blonde hairs, it’s good to decide beforehand.

Πριν την χρήση πρέπει να γίνει το skin test, τα λέει πολύ όμορφα στο app και στις οδηγίες για το πως να το κάνεις. Η λογική είναι οτι ανά περιοχή θα βρεις την ένταση που δεν πονάει και με αυτή χτυπάς! Άρα οτι γράφουν για πόνο ξεχάστε το. Η σωστή χρήση δεν πονάει.
Τώρα για να είμαι ειλικρινής, παίρνει ώρα. Κάνω σχεδόν όλο το σώμα, ξεκινάω με τις πιο ευαίσθητες περιοχές όσο είναι κρύα η lumea και μετά κάνω τις μεγάλες επιφάνειες. Δεν είναι διαδικασία μερικών λεπτών. Θέλει προσοχή, συγκέντρωση, υπομονή, ακροβατικά σε κάποιες περιοχές, καθρέφτη/ες να βλέπεις καλά όπου χτυπάς και φως. Δεν θα πω οτι είναι ξεκούραστη διαδικασία (σε σχέση με το ινστιτούτο), είναι όμως οικονομική και αποτελεσματική.
Μετά την χρήση η συσκευή θέλει χρόνο να κρυώσει και μετά να την καθαρίσεις και μετά να στεγνώσει. Εαν κάνετε όλο το σώμα όπως εγώ θα χρειαστεί να σταματήσετε ενδιάμεσα, ένα μπρεικ να κρυώσει λίγα λεπτά. Σπίτι είσαι δεν βιάζεσαι.
Θα μιλήσω για τα αποτελέσματα που είδα. Να είναι καλά το υπέροχο app που έκαναν! Μετά απο κάθε συνεδρία κρατάει ιστορικό, σε ρωτάει τι ένταση έβαλες στην περιοχή, πόσο άβολα ένιωσες, τι αποτελέσματα έχεις δει μέχρι τώρα, τι περίμενες να δεις μέχρι τώρα. Οργανώνει μόνο του τα ''ραντεβού'' για κάθε περιοχή ξεχωριστά και αν θες τα αλλάζεις. Ξες απο τώρα για μήνες μετά πότε πρέπει να χτυπήσεις, θες να πας ένα ταξίδι πχ να γνωρίζεις.
Σύμφωνα με το ιστορικό στο app σε όσες περιοχές ήμουν συνεπείς και κράτησα το πρόγραμμα που λέει έχω γίνει δελφίνι. Δεν κάνω πλάκα, μπορεί να δω 2-3 τρίχες σε ολόκληρο το πόδι μια φορά το 6μηνο. Πρόβλημα μου που δεν ήμουν παντού συνεπείς, δεν φταίει το ipl.
Θέλω να αναφέρω πως εαν σε μια περιοχή έχεις και ξανθές και μαύρες τρίχες, θα τις ξυρίσεις όλες και θα χτυπήσεις αναγκαστικά όλη την περιοχή. Αν δεν θέλετε να ξυρίσετε πχ μουστάκι γιατί ειναι μαζί μαύρες και ξανθές καλό είναι να το αποφασίσετε.

Update almost a year later. I can't believe it saved me. Μέχρι στιγμής είναι άψογο. Απο την πρώτη φορά οι τρίχες ενώ έβλεπα οτι ήταν κοντες και έτοιμες να βγούν, δεν έβγαιναν για κανα μήνα. Δεν πονάει ιδιαίτερα. Στο πρόσωπο έχω να πάω για Αλεξανδρίτη 2 μήνες, έχω κάνει με αυτό δύο φορές κα δεν βλέπω να υπάρχει τίποτα απο τρίχα. Η ταχύτητα του είναι αρκετά γρήγορη σε σχέση με άλλα μηχανήματα. Δηλαδή πραγματικά σε κάθε συνεδρία λέιζερ έδινα 120€ και με αυτό σε 3 μήνες το έκανα απόσβεση. Κάνω χερια ποδια και πρόσωπο και έχω να δώ τρίχα 2 μήνες.
Update σχεδον έναν χρόνο μετά. Δεν το πιστεύω οτι με έσωσε. Ενώ με το Αλεξανδρίτης χρειαζόμουν κάθε μήνα στο πρόσωπο αλλιώς είχα κανονικά τρίχες, με αυτό το έκανα 3-4 φορές και απο τότε ξεχνάω να κάνω και δεν έχω ξαναδεί τρίχες. Πόδια εξαφανίστηκαν έχω να κάνω απο τότε που το πήρα και έκανα 2 φορές και πρόσωπο επίσης.
