Description

Description

Over the years, education is constantly evolving and more and more challenges are arising at both the classroom and educational policy levels. One of the most significant challenges today is the area of special education.

There are indeed genuine efforts to improve the education of children with disabilities; however, many factors contribute to the ongoing inability to transform the segregated education system into one based on the principles of inclusive education.

This book addresses the education of deaf/hard of hearing individuals who constitute a heterogeneous group, and there are many challenges and limitations in their education, particularly within the framework of inclusive education.

Parents and educators at all levels are called to play a key role in promoting inclusive education and in eliminating the barriers that hinder its implementation.

This book, through new research data, attempts to highlight the issues in the education of deaf/hard of hearing students that are connected to the spirit of inclusive education and have yet to surface in education for many important reasons that the system is not yet ready.

Additionally, the author's experience as an educator and hard of hearing individual is briefly presented, showcasing those points that limit the education of deaf/hard of hearing children and those strengths in which these students can further develop.

The book is aimed at researchers, educators at all levels, students in educational departments, parents, and any other interested parties who wish to delve deeper into the education of deaf/hard of hearing students in the context of inclusive education.
