Recent changes to the already frequently amended original laws 3588/2007 "Bankruptcy Code" and 3869/2010 "Arrangement of Over-indebted Natural Persons' Debts and Other Provisions" were introduced, especially, by laws 4336/2015 (Government Gazette A’ 94/14.8.2015), 4346/2015 (Government Gazette A’ 152/20.11.2015), and the most recent law 4446/2016 (Government Gazette A’ 240/22.12.2016), as well as Presidential Decree 133/2016 (Government Gazette A’ 242/29.12.2016).

Other changes –to a lesser extent– were made with law 4472/2017 and introduced further by the new EU Regulation 848/2015 or are being prepared with the pending EU Directive proposal 0359/2016. Many older provisions have been amended, and new ones introduced to facilitate the more effective regulation –in view of the economic crisis– of debts for businesses and individuals.

Even through marginal – emergency– laws such as law 4307/2014 and law 4469/2017. All these provisions, introduced up to the end of August 2017, created the need for this eighth edition of the present volume.
