New changes to the already frequently amended original laws 3588/2007 "Bankruptcy Code" and 3869/2010 " Regulation of debts of over-indebted individuals and other provisions" were brought about by laws 4336/2015 (Government Gazette A΄ 94/14.8.2015) and 4346/2015 (Government Gazette A΄ 152/20.11.2015).

Many older provisions were amended, and new ones were introduced to regulate – in view of the economic crisis – the debts of businesses and individuals.
