This book is the result of this scientific collaboration. Its purpose is to fill the gap in theory both within the Greek and the international academic community regarding the horizontal impact of fundamental rights.

Although at the European level this issue has been at the center of several collective efforts, it has never been thoroughly studied in relation to Greek law. Therefore, within this context, this book offers an opportunity to present the issue of the horizontal impact of fundamental rights as it develops within the Greek legal system and how it has evolved through its interaction with European and international law.

Of course, this book does not aim to provide a comprehensive coverage of the subject. Indeed, the topic of the horizontal impact of fundamental rights is a dynamic issue that has mainly developed through relevant judicial practice, extending across a wide range of legal fields, and continues to evolve accordingly.

Nevertheless, this book definitely intends to shed light on its most recent developments from national, comparative, and international perspectives. In other words, the book aims to reinterpret the Greek version of the theory of the horizontal impact of fundamental rights as it has developed within a globalized and interconnected legal framework.
