The Kaliope Koufa Foundation for the Promotion of International Law and the Protection of Human Rights, within the scope of its activities, received funding from the European Commission to implement the Jean Monnet Program, "Dialogues on the European Union and Human Rights".

The result of this program is also the present three-volume collective edition that addresses critical current issues within the European dimension of human rights protection.

The present third volume, titled "European Policies on and towards the Protection of Fundamental Rights," raises issues and investigates topics related to social rights and discrimination, combating human trafficking, protecting vulnerable individuals, equality, and rights in Europe.
