Description

A new high-performance standard for belt-drive analog turntables. The TN-3B-SE is a stylish turntable with a built-in MM-type PHONO EQ amplifier.

  • Belt-drive mechanism
  • 2-speed turntable supporting 33-1/3 and 45 rpm
  • Knife-edge tonearm with pivot point, designed by SAEC
  • Cast aluminum platter
  • Built-in PHONO EQ amplifier compatible with MM cartridges
  • Hi-fi level op-amp, NJM8080, used in the PHONO EQ stage
  • Anti-skating mechanism
  • PHONO/LINE analog output (switchable)
  • Gold-plated output connectors resistant to oxidation
  • Pre-installed AT-VM95E cartridge provided by audio-technica
  • Rigid high-density MDF cabinet with multi-layer lacquer finish
  • Vibration-absorbing insulating feet
  • GND terminal
  • RoHS compliant

The tonearm of the TN-3B uses a knife-edge bearing with a pivot point, which helps deliver a more dynamic sound with excellent resolution. The static-balanced S-shaped tonearm is equipped with a counterweight for precise needle pressure adjustment, as well as an anti-skating mechanism for accurate tracking force adjustment.

The VM-type cartridge AT-VM95E is ready to use and exclusively manufactured for TEAC. The TN-3B-SE incorporates an MM-type phono EQ amplifier, allowing the turntable to be connected to a conventional amplifier/hi-fi system that does not have a PHONO input.

The belt-drive mechanism minimizes any "motor cogging" effects, driving the outer edge of the platter. All internal components are housed in a sturdy and high-density MDF cabinet to eliminate vibrations.
