I was a little hesitant before buying it, mainly due to the price. However, it turned out to be an excellent purchase and my cat is thrilled! The material makes a noise like crumpling plastic wrap. However, it doesn't bother my cat at all and she probably finds it fun. The description for the velvet doesn't match what I expected (I expected it to be thicker), but it doesn't matter since my cat loved it anyway!
