Description

Description

We would very much like to give our children a world free from problems and difficulties. However, that is not possible. What we can do is equip them with tools so that they can face the challenges of their lives competently and effectively, and develop the skills that will enable them to adapt, survive, and thrive even under adverse conditions.

In other words, to help them strengthen so that they can soar with their own wings. As part of this effort, the author developed and piloted a comprehensive program for enhancing students' mental resilience in schools under the Athens IV Education Directorate, based on the findings and practices of positive psychology, which is appropriately designed for adolescents and can assist all children, particularly those facing adversities arising from health issues, family problems, financial issues, or relationship difficulties.

The program, after its completion, was presented at the International Psychiatric Conference (Athens, 2013) as a proposal for empowering middle and high school students.
