The development and use of electronic technologies in all transactions and the emergence of electronic commerce highlight new challenges in law and the legal regulation of electronic transactions.
Artificial intelligence is a decisive factor of 21st-century technology, transforming the way all modern companies and businesses operate. As an intelligent cognitive technology, AI intersects with automation, enabling the system to sense, understand, learn, and act, reducing unnecessary functions and encouraging innovation.
With the internet and information and communication technologies increasingly penetrating daily life, the possibilities for citizens and businesses multiply, as do the risks of criminal activities. Forms of cybercrime are varied, and with the continuous development of technology and the internet, they are multiplying.
All the above practical and theoretical issues are examined in detail in this work, through seven chapters dedicated to critical issues within the broader context of transaction law, such as electronic contracts, GDPR and Big Data Analytics, the internet and its relation to intellectual property rights, criminal law, and electronic commerce.
The aim of the work is to present and analyze issues arising from technological advancement and to emphasize the need for the adaptation of international and national legal rules to new realities, in order to successfully address issues stemming from internet involvement, electronic transactions, and tools across the entire range of transactions.
