Review of the Apex SBM Gore-Tex (these are the same shoes as in the photo but with a Gore-Tex membrane), one year of use. Purchased for mountaineering and hiking. The weight is satisfactory, size 44 is the same as Adidas and Salomon. The box also includes an extra insole for cases where someone wants to correct their foot. The design follows the philosophy of mountaineering shoes, with a locking mechanism at the heel and a more relaxed fit in the sole, allowing for movement of the toes. I even tried a light 5km run on dirt and it was comfortable. I cannot say if it is 100% waterproof, but during a hike in Portaria (Kentavros trail), it remained dry in light wet conditions. The biggest advantage is the Gore-Tex membrane, as it keeps the foot from getting sweaty even during summer hikes. Easy to tie and fits like a glove, thanks to the thickness of the tongue. The strongest point of the shoe is the Michelin sole (which is what you pay for), providing stability on any terrain and a soft bounce. Climbing and descending Palamidi in the rain, the rubber grips as if you're walking on dry ground. Altama claims it doesn't slip even on oily surfaces. This shoe is a loyal companion for life.

Comfortable, high-quality and relatively lightweight boots. They were purchased for €175. Their only drawback is that they are available in size 44 and 45. The company does not offer size 44.5 (which is my size), resulting in size 45 being slightly more "comfortable" than the regular fit. The company's solution is to include extra insoles in the packaging so that they fit better on the foot (they call this technology truefit). They also do not have a zipper, but this is not a problem as they have long laces and can be tightened instantly with a simple pull, securing the foot. Another important advantage is that they hug the ankle very well and do not make the foot sweat at all. If their price was €140, I would consider them an ideal choice. Lastly, their color is towards brown, which in my opinion matches better than off-white for those who want to pair them with camouflage clothing.
