K2 K2 Bond construction adhesive is a sealing silicone for automotive surfaces that withstands temperatures up to 350 °C. It replaces cork, paper, felt, asbestos and rubber gaskets, and is resistant to oils, greases and coolants. The SENSOR SAFE formula is safe for lambda sensors in vehicles with electronic fuel injection.
It is used, among other applications, on valve and camshaft covers, thermostat gaskets, oil pans, water pumps and rear differential covers. Before application, the surface must be dry and free of dust, dirt, grease and old sealant residue. The adhesive begins to dry in 5 minutes, is touch-resistant after 1 hour and fully cures in 24 hours.
