On a dark moonlit night, a young boy named Kutaro was lured by an evil king named Moon Bear into a black castle where he was transformed into a puppet. Kutaro displeased the king, who devoured the boy's wooden head and threw his body away. But Kutaro was not alone, as he had discovered a special pair of scissors to help him on his painful adventure to find his head and the way back home.
