    It withstands a lot of pressure even if pulled suddenly. Now, do you trust it to be away and leave it all night? I wouldn't trust it even if it were bigger, unless it had been tested for many years by someone. Anyway, we had left it for almost a month every night and it didn't break in one that we put it to the test.. The spring is quite strong/difficult, just right.

    For going in and out every day in the barn for milking... instead of tying and untying ropes... you do it 10x faster if you use something like this. In 30 days, you would save about an hour a day if you think about it + you save yourself the hassle above all.

    It is not inox and it doesn't say that it is.. it has a chrome coating, so of course it rusts but at least it is sturdier than inox. Logically, after a year if the spring rusts and breaks.. then it won't close. But the spring will logically be replaced.
