The cooler was installed in a new system with a Ryzen 7 8700G processor and an MSI B840 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard. Excellent performance and the processor does not exceed 70°C. It was installed in a Chieftec SC 601 Dragon case, which is quite old by today's standards but at least has plenty of 5.25" bays and hard drive slots. In another 5-year-old system with a Ryzen 7 3800x on an MSI B480 Tomahawk motherboard, I have installed the NH-D14S, also with excellent results—even in the summer with a 45°C heatwave, the temperature did not exceed 80°C

We all know that Noctua is high quality and the same applies here, but the competition now offers similar and better performance at lower prices (for example, the AK620 is much cheaper with a higher TDP). On the plus side, the build quality, the legendary immortal and silent 120mm fan, the complete package, and the after-sales support; on the downside, the price. With this cooler, I have an i9-9900k (4.7GHz core, 4.3GHz cache) and with careful settings on SVID and LLC, without any voltage offset, I never see above 75 degrees. The TDP of 148 watts that is stated is accurate but can marginally support around 160. I give it four stars only for the price, nothing else.

With the stock cooler from Intel, I was playing with full graphics and the temperature was between 70 and 75 degrees. As soon as I installed this cooler from Noctua, the temperature while playing games is now between 50 and 55. 20 degrees lower! Excellent cooler with no loud noise.

Easy installation, quiet, and above all effective. It has reduced the temperature by 20 degrees Celsius (from 95 to 75) on the AMD RYZEN 7 5700X processor when it is running at maximum power. I highly recommend it.

40 degrees lower in idle temperatures compared to stock without any game open... now in games (e.g. Call of Duty MW2) it reaches around 65, temperature is extremely good compared to the stock which reached 85 and made excessive noise... be careful with the manual... I had to remove the entire motherboard to mount it because the motherboard socket 1700 requires the backplate... Very satisfied with Noctua... the package even includes a screwdriver to give you a hand... thermal paste and wipes... 10/10 from me... and be careful with the size of the cooler!

On the Ryzen 5 5600x, I am about 30 degrees Celsius cooler. EXTREMELY quiet!!! Easy installation if you have a little bit of skill (be careful with the size of the case). Amazing build quality, worth every penny.
