How to say no, when to say yes, and how to take control of your life. Millions of readers around the world have drawn valuable advice from Boundaries, which answers questions like: How do I escape the pressure to say "yes" to all requests from others? In this award-winning New York Times bestseller, Dr. Henry Cloud and John Townsend explain how to set healthy boundaries with parents, spouses, children, friends, colleagues, social media, and even ourselves. Boundaries are the borders of our personal ownership and affect every area of our lives - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

By analyzing the ten laws of boundaries, the authors explain how to restore balance in our relationships. Setting boundaries helps us achieve freedom and a life full of giving and fulfillment.

I bought this book as a psychology and self-improvement book. However, it should be sold as a religious studies book. There hasn't been a single page that doesn't reference the Holy Bible, quoting its passages verbatim and then analyzing them, assuming that we all understand what it says. The cover makes no mention of this issue, obviously for marketing reasons, but honestly it should be called "Boundaries for Devout Christians." I haven't heard so much preaching since Sunday school. Essentially, on every page, it tells you what God and Jesus mean by boundaries, what they want and what they don't want. It is an incredibly tiring and disappointing book and I am forcing myself to read it, but it keeps irritating me over and over again. What a waste of money.

It analyzes the holy scripture more than expected. I was expecting it to be more scientific and not so narrowly religious. Too bad.

Amazing book that helps you set boundaries without guilt, with the only reservation being the several points it talks about the Holy Scriptures in ancient Greek.
