"Dark Love" by Colleen Hoover was a book that completely captivated me. Although its story has toxic elements and a darker dynamic than other Hoover books, I loved it – and I admit I cried at the end.

The plot follows the relationship between Tate and the pilot Miles, which begins with purely physical attraction and the "agreement" that they will not get emotionally involved. But as the story unfolds, Miles' deeper traumas and internal struggle are revealed, while Tate faces the dilemma of whether or not she can stay close to him. Hoover uses shifts between the present and the past to gradually show what made Miles the way he is today, and this creates a tension that keeps you hooked until the last page.

The book is darker and more mature than other works by the author. There are scenes and themes that may be heavy for some, but this also makes it more real. Although it is not an "ideal" romantic story, its emotional power is immense.

It is also worth mentioning that Dark Love is connected to November 9; personally, I recommend reading it first, as it gives you a fuller context for the next one.

If you are looking for a love story that does not sugarcoat everything, but also shows the wounds, the difficulties, and the redemption, Dark Love is one of those books that will stay with you.
