Supercat mole trap from the company Swissinno. It is made of weather-resistant plastic. It features a handle for easy placement and removal from the ground. To set it up, you only need to dig a hole in the ground with a diameter of 6cm. Once the mole is trapped in the recess provided by the handle, it falls down and alerts you for its collection.

It works so well that I bought a second one. In one year it has caught at least 20 moles (today alone it caught three in one hour). Typically, it catches the mole 2-3 hours at most after (proper!) placement. If I don’t catch it within 3 hours, then I move it.
There are some times (about 20-30%) when it might close with just soil without catching the mole, but that’s not the tool’s fault. It’s mostly because we filled the hole with excess soil when we covered it, or the mole pushed soil towards the tool because its tunnel filled with soil for whatever reason. If the tunnel is large and clean before we place the trap, if we find both ends of the tunnel, if we clear any grass from the hole and cover the trap around the edges (just enough so that no light enters, but without filling it with soil), then it has over an 80% chance of doing its job.
update 2026: unfortunately (for the poor animals) this season started strong as well, with 10+ mice in 2 weeks. I’ll order a third one, since I can’t keep up with them. Now I’ve understood better how to discover the tunnels with greater accuracy and from the moment the trap is placed, it’s a matter of minutes before the animal is caught. In at least one case, it happened that it caught the mole by the tip of its snout, it stayed alive without being injured so I released it in a neighboring plot. The rest, however (unfortunately), are not so lucky.

Πλέον έχω καταλάβει καλύτερα πως να ανακαλύπτω τα τούνελ με μεγαλύτερη ακρίβεια και από τη στιγμή που θα τοποθετηθεί η παγίδα είναι θέμα λεπτών να πιαστεί το ζώο. Σε μία τουλάχιστον περίπτωση έτυχε και έπιασε τον τυφλοπόντικα από τη άκρη της μουσούδας, έμεινε ζωντανός χωρίς να έχει τραυματιστεί οπότε τον άφησα σε παραδιπλανό οικόπεδο. And the spot where I placed it, for example this time next to the lettuce, <<where I usually have damage>>, the other time I need to find another tunnel because it closes it! As another friend said, unless we have found Einstein!

Easy installation, very effective trap. Causes genocide. I place it 20cm from the exit, after locating with a thin branch, a straight surface section of the tunnel. The positives are that you can see from a distance if the trap has been disarmed. From what I understand, the exit is either at a junction or at a corner. The trap-tunnel does not always work and there is no indication that there is something inside. The trap that is armed with a footstep is difficult to place and ineffective, and the mouse poison requires days of monitoring and replenishment if there are more than one blind mice. There is no need to move until the invasion is eliminated. I have caught a dozen in one day from one spot

Αν το τούνελ είναι μεγάλο και είναι καθαρό πριν τοποθετήσουμε την παγίδα, αν βρούμε και τις δύο άκρες του τούνελ, αν καθαρίσουμε τυχόν χορτάρια από την τρύπα και σκεπάσουμε την παγίδα περιμετρικά (ίσα ίσα να μην μπαίνει φως, χωρίς όμως να τη γεμίσουμε με χώμα), τότε έχει πάνω από 80% πιθανότητες να κάνει τη δουλειά της.
update 2026: δυστυχώς (για τα καημένα τα ζωάκια) ξεκίνησε δυναμικά και η φετινή σεζόν, με 10+ ποντίκια μέσα σε 2 βδομάδες. Θα παραγγείλω και τρίτο, αφού δεν τους προλαβαίνω. Πλέον έχω καταλάβει καλύτερα πως να ανακαλύπτω τα τούνελ με μεγαλύτερη ακρίβεια και από τη στιγμή που θα τοποθετηθεί η παγίδα είναι θέμα λεπτών να πιαστεί το ζώο. Σε μία τουλάχιστον περίπτωση έτυχε και έπιασε τον τυφλοπόντικα από τη άκρη της μουσούδας, έμεινε ζωντανός χωρίς να έχει τραυματιστεί οπότε τον άφησα σε παραδιπλανό οικόπεδο. Οι υπόλοιποι όμως (δυστυχώς) δεν γλυτώνουν.
I can't catch anyone! I see that it has disarmed, I go to check and it hasn't caught a single one, not even once! And the spot where I placed it, for example this time next to the lettuce, <<where I usually have damage>>, the other time I need to find another tunnel because it closes it! As another friend said, unless we have found Einstein!
Δεν μπορώ να πιάσω κανέναν ! Βλέπω ότι αφοπλιστικε, πάω να δω και δεν έχει πιάσει ούτε έναν, μια φορά! Και το σημείο που την έχω βάλει πχ αυτη τι φορα δίπλα από τα μαρούλια,<<που συνήθως έχω ζημιές>> την άλλη φορά πρέπει να βρω άλλο τουνελ γιατί το κλείνει! Όπως είπε και ένας άλλος φίλος εκτός αν έχουμε βρει τον Αϊνστάιν!
The review is purely about the 'relatively decent' construction; the value for the purchase price is unreasonable (not to say excessive). The effectiveness is debatable (unless I have encountered) Einstein in a mole! Or maybe size... plays its role. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Η αξιολόγηση ειναι καθαρά για την ''σχετικά ποιοτική'' κατασκευή, η αξία στην τιμή αγοράς ειναι παράλογη (για να μην πω υπερβολική). Η αποτελεσματικότητα συζητήσιμη (εκτός αν έχω συναντήσει) τον ....Αινσταιν σε τυφλοπόντικα! Ή το μέγεθος ... παίζει το ρόλο του. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Easy installation, very effective trap. Causes genocide. I place it 20cm from the exit, after locating with a thin branch, a straight surface section of the tunnel. The positives are that you can see from a distance if the trap has been disarmed. From what I understand, the exit is either at a junction or at a corner. The trap-tunnel does not always work and there is no indication that there is something inside. The trap that is armed with a footstep is difficult to place and ineffective, and the mouse poison requires days of monitoring and replenishment if there are more than one blind mice. There is no need to move until the invasion is eliminated. I have caught a dozen in one day from one spot
ευκολη τοποθετηση, πολυ αποτελεσματικη παγιδα. προκαλει γενοκτονια. το τοποθετω 20cm απ την εξοδο, αφου εντοπισω με ενα λεπτο κλαρακι, ενα ευθυ επιφανειακο τμημα του τουνελ. στα + και το οτι βλεπεις εξ αποστασεως αν η παγιδα αφοπλιστηκε. απ οτι εχω καταλαβει, η εξοδος βρισκεται ειτε σε διασταυρωση ειτε σε γωνια. η παγιδα-τουνελ δεν λειτουργει παντα και δεν υπαρχει ενδειξη οτι εχει κατι μεσα, η παγιδα που οπλιζει με το πατημα του ποδιου ειναι δυσκολη στην τοποθετηση και αναποτελεσματικη και το ποντικοφαρμακο θελει μερες παρακολουθησης και ανατροφοδοτηση αν ειναι περισσοτεροι απο ενας οι τυφλοποντικες. δεν χρειαζεται μετακινηση μεχρι να εξαλειφθει η εισβολη. εχω βγαλει και μια ντουζινα σε μια μερα απο ενα σημειο
