Rear-Facing Travel up to 7 Years and Exoskeleton Construction

The BeSafe Stretch child car seat in Metallic Melange introduces a new approach to rear-facing travel, covering the age range from 6 months to 7 years (height 61–125 cm and maximum weight 36 kg). 

Its design is based on an external aluminium frame and a sturdy shell structure that absorb and distribute impact forces in the event of a collision. 

The seat has passed the Swedish Plus Test and also complies with the European safety regulation UN R129, providing enhanced protection for the child’s neck and spine.

Seat Belt Installation and Vehicle Compatibility

The seat is installed using the car’s 3-point seat belt, making it compatible with various types of vehicles, including seats without ISOFIX anchor points, such as the front passenger seat. 

Installation is made easier by the integrated belt-tensioning mechanism and self-adjusting lower stabilizing straps, ensuring a secure fit in the vehicle. 

Despite its sturdy construction, the seat weighs just 10 kg, making it easy to move between different cars.

Growth Adjustment and Comfort Settings

To accommodate your child’s gradual growth over 7 years, the seat features an adjustable leg rest with up to 26 cm of extension. 

The headrest offers 10 height positions and adjusts together with the harness straps in one movement. The backrest reclines to 5 positions and can be adjusted even after the seat has been installed in the vehicle. 

The set also includes removable Two-Fit Cushions™ to ensure a proper fit for smaller children.

Safety Systems and Everyday Functionality

Side-impact protection is enhanced by the additional SIP component, which is fitted on the side nearest the door, and by the headrest featuring Dynamic Force Absorber™ technology. 

To make it easier to secure your child every day, the Magnetic Belt Assistants™ magnets hold the harness straps at the sides of the seat, keeping them out of the way when your child gets in. The design allows components to be replaced, offering an estimated lifespan of up to 15 years.
