It is excellent and rugged. I used it for underwater fishing as well. If you don't lose it, you'll have it forever. It doesn't need a battery; you set it once and don't have to deal with it again, not even to change to daylight saving time, it does it on its own, even the analog part adjusts itself. For g-steel, you wouldn't call it heavy; you feel it, but it's not bothersome. I would have liked slightly larger digits on the digital display, but I don't comment on that negatively.
