One of the most peaceful gouramis and an excellent social fish. Do not keep the pearl gourami with aggressive or very active fish. Mature males are much more colorful than females, developing a stunning orange or red color around the neck. They also have extensions on the dorsal and anal fins. Females are milder and plumper.
