Η εμφάνιση του είναι τέτοια που είναι και νεανικό και κλασικό. Έχω το ίδιο ρολόϊ και σε άλλο σχέδιο ( ασημί/χρυσό ) που δεν είναι για όλες τις ώρες. Επίσης και τα δύο, είναι απολύτως αδιάβροχα, τουλάχιστον όταν κολυμπάω, κάνω ντους ή πλένω τα χέρια μου, αλλά δεν είμαι βατραχάνθρωπος.
Οι διαφορές των δύο ρολογιών είναι αυτές: Το άλλο δε χάνει ποτέ ούτε δευτερόλεπτο, ακόμα κι αν έχω μέρες να το φορέσω ( ώσπου να σταματήσει βέβαια, όπως όλα τα αυτόματα ). Το συγκεκριμένο χάνει καθημερινά ένα λεπτό, κάθε 8 ώρες και θέλει κούρδισμα. Το άλλο το έχω παραπάνω από 20 χρόνια. Το συγκεκριμένο το έχω 6. Αναμφίβολα, θα αγοράσω ξανά Seiko και εμπιστεύομαι την εταιρία, θα ήθελα όμως να υπήρχε σε κάθε περιοχή ένα ανεξάρτητο service που να εξειδικεύεται στα Seiko. Αντίστοιχα, έχω κι ένα Zenith που πριν από 'μενα φορούσε κι ο πατέρας μου, το οποίο αυτή τη στιγμή είναι 40 ετών και εξακολουθεί να μη χάνει ούτε δευτερόλεπτο.
Παρόλ' αυτά τα Seiko 5 είναι εν γένει διακριτικά όμορφα, σχετικά βαριά ( με το σωστό τρόπο βαριά ) παρότι τα μπρασελέ τους δεν είναι τόσο στιβαρά σε αίσθηση. Σε κάθε περίπτωση για ηλικίες πάνω από 30. Άλλωστε, το αυτόματο ρολόϊ γενικά απαιτεί μια δέσμευση που ταιριάζει σε μεγαλύτερες ηλικίες και νοοτροπίες.
