With significant ranged combat ability and the option to maintain that distance, the Dothraki Outriders are more than just regular scouts. While ordinary archers are a headache for any infantry troops, the Dothraki Outriders are an absolute nightmare. Their ability to dance at range, shoot their arrows, and then retreat beyond any chance of retaliation gives the Dothraki commander a powerful capability to harass and destroy enemies without ever offering a counterattack. Of course, such power remains vulnerable to enemy cavalry and archers, but a wise commander will use the Outriders' speed to stay clear of danger.
