To best care for GROHE products, avoid using abrasive sponges or polishing products. Do not use cleaners with solvents or acids, as well as products containing acetic acid, as they are aggressive to the surface. Clean them with a bit of soap and a soft cloth, rinse, and dry. To prevent limescale stains, dry the products after use. If limescale forms, use GrohClean, our environmentally friendly liquid cleaner.

    I chose the white one because it cost half as much as the chrome plate, and the material is the same (ABS-type plastic).
    My old chrome plate lasted for over 22 years (2004), so we’ll see about the white one too.
    I replaced it because the little accordion-like piston/tube at the back had torn from normal wear and only the small flow was working; I swapped the hoses between them but the 9-liter large flow still didn’t work.
    I tried to find a replacement part for this plastic bellows, but to no avail on the market. So you either buy the whole plate with the pneumatic mechanism, or, in my case, if you make some rough local repair yourself with plastic glue and it holds up over time..
