Description
The MV45W of Alcatel is a mobile router, a device that connects other devices (e.g. computer, mobile, television) wirelessly, and shares internet access. It receives internet access through the integrated modem and uses the mobile network by installing a SIM card. The SIM card needs to have an active data connection.
It connects to the 4G network, which offers significantly higher speeds than 3G. To operate at this speed, the device needs to have corresponding coverage from the mobile network in the area we are in.
It is Wi-Fi 4 generation, an older generation recommended for use with few devices and for applications that do not require high speeds. It emits a signal at a frequency, 2.4Ghz, which offers lower speeds than those that emit 2 (dual) or 3 (tri-band) frequencies. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most widespread and has a long range.
