A specialty moss from Brazil, measuring 1-3 cm in height, known as "Christmas Moss" due to the structure of its lateral branches that distinguishes it from the common Vesicularia dubyana and resembles fir tree branches.

It is more demanding than regular Java moss and grows more slowly. It easily attaches to roots and stones, and as it spreads in the water, it requires pruning to keep its shape attractive.
