Description

Description

The juicer by Kenwood, with 230 Watt power, is designed for complete juicing even of the most fibrous fruits and vegetables, leaving minimal residues. It is a slow crushing juicer, single speed which offers consistent and effective juicing, and it also features a 600ml juice collection jug and a 1lt residue container.

Slow Juicer

Operates at low speeds and is designed to juice and extract every nutrient even from the most fibrous fruits and vegetables, minimizing residues. You can place whole pieces directly into the material slot to extract all the juice while the remaining part is separated into pulp for use in other recipes, such as vegetable burgers, brownies, or puree. Compared to a centrifugal juicer, the juicing process takes longer, but this way more juice is produced, completely free of pulp and peels.

With 2 containers

  • 600ml juice collection jug with a graduated scale, so you always know the amount of juice you have produced
  • 1lt pulp container, where the pulp removed from your fruits and vegetables is collected. When it fills up, you will need to empty it to continue producing your juices

XL Food Tube

The XL feed chute allows you to directly add whole pieces of fruits and vegetables into the device, easily turning them into juices, reducing preparation time and mess.

Other features:

  • Powerful motor with 230 W power
  • Body material: Plastic
  • With two feeding tube sizes that fit different sizes of fruits and vegetables (43 mm smaller inlet, 73 mm wider inlet)
  • Anti-drip spout to prevent leaks
  • Non-slip feet
  • Cable storage

Why buy a juicer?

Choosing a juicer can offer many positive benefits for your health and diet. It allows the preparation of fresh juice from fruits and vegetables without the addition of preservatives, sugar, or artificial flavors, making the juice rich in natural vitamins and minerals. It helps you, therefore, to incorporate different nutrients into your diet, contributing to the health of your skin, immune system, and overall well-being. Additionally, it removes residues, such as pulp, seeds, and peels, and transfers them to another container, reducing the waste from juice preparation. Finally, it is a practical choice as it is easy to use and clean.

Overall, I am very dissatisfied with this juicer model.

First, it has very low power. I expected it to be sufficient even for harder products, such as nuts, but in practice it struggles even with some fruits. For example, it grinds pomegranate with difficulty and sometimes the motor even gets blocked.

Second, the construction is such that a specific order must be followed when placing the products. For example, if you want to make juice only from apples, a large part of the pulp will remain inside the feeding container. The construction is so inconvenient that when the mass softens it cannot come out properly. There are two outlets: one for the juice and one for the leftovers (fibers).

Ideally, juice only comes out when you alternate the products. For example, first apple and then carrot, so that the harder fibers of the carrot push the apple pulp out. If you don't do this, the efficiency drops a lot.

For example, making juice from orange is almost impossible. Most of the pulp stays inside and does not come out. A small amount of juice comes out, but most of the fruit just turns into pulp.

If you do the opposite — first carrot and then apple or orange — the result will still be bad. The softer pulp cannot push out the leftovers from the previous product and the juice essentially stops coming out.

For soft products, such as berries or similar, it is not even worth talking about. They just get tangled inside the mechanism, fibers are created, and the juice does not come out.

It only works properly in two cases:
    — if you make juice from only one hard product, such as carrot;
    — or if you make juice from pomegranate, but you must first clean it completely so that only the seeds remain.

But if you want to make mixed juice from various fruits, it becomes a real ordeal. Even juice from just one orange is difficult to make properly. A mass remains inside, you get a little juice, but most of the fruit just turns into pulp without the juice coming out.

There is also a serious construction problem. Inside there is a very small hole for the exit of the leftovers — about 1.5–2 mm wide and about 10 mm long. All the leftovers must pass through there. If this hole gets clogged (and this happens very often), the juice simply stops coming out.

Additionally, there is no brush in the set for cleaning the metal filter. There is a special metal filter through which the juice and leftovers pass, and this filter is very difficult to clean. It gets clogged constantly and is very hard to wash. There should definitely be a special brush for cleaning it in the set, but there isn't. I am forced to use a toothbrush to clean it, which of course is not right. Such a product should come with a special brush in the package.

Honestly, after this experience I will probably never buy a slow juicer (spiral) again. It's better to get a simple centrifugal one. Maybe the juice has more air, but at least it works properly.

I use this juicer at most once every six months, because even washing it is very difficult. Really very difficult, and it is definitely not worth the money it costs.

My rating for this product is **1 out of 10**. I do not recommend it to anyone.

For the money, I expected something better! I had the Bosch one which broke within 6 months and couldn't be fixed because there are no spare parts available anymore, so I decided to get something with a more powerful motor but the construction doesn't please me particularly! It has a lot of plastic elements! It does its job but it's not top-notch! I bought it for the seller but I tried everything, carrots, apples, pineapples, cucumbers, ginger, pears, spinach, (lemon and orange without peel) good taste but I liked my Bosch more! I've had it for almost a month, it cleans very quickly, sometimes there are larger pieces left in the container and it also produces pulp! It does the job but it could be much better! We'll see how it will be in the future
