The Stabila Type 80 AS-2 spirit level features an aluminum profile with side reinforcement for stability during measuring. It has three vials, two of which are vertical, for readings in different positions. Measuring accuracy is ±0.5 mm/m in the normal position and ±0.75 mm/m in the reverse position.

It has two measuring surfaces with a coating to protect delicate surfaces. The ends feature non-slip end caps, while the plastic end caps protect the profile from impacts. The vials are made of clear, durable acrylic glass, with internal outlines and fluorescent liquid. The electrostatic coating makes cleaning easier.
