The Axagon EEM2-GTR hard drive enclosure houses an M.2 NVMe drive with a PCI Express interface and connects it to a computer via USB-C. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface supports transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s, and the enclosure is also compatible with USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. Its ribbed aluminum body and thermal pads help dissipate heat.

It supports single- or double-sided M.2 NVMe drives with an M or B+M key and dimensions of 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 mm. It supports UASP, TRIM, booting an operating system from an external enclosure, Hot Plug, Plug and Play, and sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. Power is supplied via the USB port.
